HORSEMERE GREEN LANE (HGL) PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS

The Parish Council's Transport Working Group has been active through the year on proposals for Horsemere Green Lane in response to the consultation on the future of the lane last year.

The Parish Council agreed to commission WSP to undertake the design work for Horsemere Green Lane in accordance with the submitted specification. It was noted that WSP are a company well experienced in this type of work and are the current holders of a WSCC consultancy contract and their current involvement in A259 Review gives WSP access to the relevant traffic issues and awareness of the linkages between the Review and this work in HGL.

The Transport Working Group are considering two proposals, a 2-way scheme and a 1-way scheme. Both proposals will be presented with drawings and costings at the Annual Meeting of the Parish 16th May 2023 with a view to submitting a WSCC Community Highways Scheme application by July 2023.
